The content of our music is stuff that people dont talk about much. Dark things, not just heartbreak but things beyond heartbreak. All the songs you hear are based on people who have lost something. Either their minds, their hearts, or their lifes. So you dont hear songs about murder on the radio... Why? because people are afraid of being murdered. You dont hear songs about love gone so wrong that that person has lost the capability of going on. But if you live life honestly you see these kind of stories every day and you hear these stories every day. And seeing the bad makes the good really good!

some spring evenings i think it might feel good to dump ex-lovers' bodies in the stanislaus river, but other nights it feels better to listen to you. breezy nights, strangers smoking in parking lots, darts thrown in shady bars, eyes hiding below the brims of hats, harmonies that hit you where it hurts... beautiful things are made in heartbreak.
