Madeline's 6-song demo CD recorded in mid 2007 has quickly caught the attention of a broad audience, and she has rapidly become one of the most sought after performers in the Rochester, NY area. Her warm, effortless and approachable sound is drawing listeners young and old to the “Songbook” era of great, classic jazz. Now with the release of her first album "Just You, Just Me", a full dose of Madeline's music is now available to purchase for the first time (see below).
Madeline has studied voice in Rochester at the Eastman School of Music, and in Toronto at York University. She has been heard in Toronto at various clubs including Ten Feet Tall, Dominion on Queen, The Arts and Letters Club, and The Rex, one of Canada's premier jazz clubs. In Rochester she has been a featured performer at Oak Hill Country Club and Fairport Canal Days Festival, and regularly performs at Woodcliff Hotel & Spa, Bistro 135, The Little Theatre Cafe, PaRe, Brio Bistro, Boulder Coffee and Triphammer Grill. Several of her demo songs have also been featured on Jazz 90.1 WGMC in Rochester and Jazz FM91 in Toronto. Beside her quartet, she can also be heard with the Greater Rochester Jazz Orchestra, one of Rochester's distinguished big bands.
"Just You, Just Me" was released in Toronto on April 8th, 2009 at the Rex Jazz & Blues Bar, and in Rochester on April 10th, 2009 at Boulder Coffee/Brooks Landing.
