My life is like writing on a sheet of paper. The other side is so boring & dull without nothing other than blank parchment. I wanted to spice up that blank side. I didn’t want to fill the spaces in my life, like some people would say. Saying there was something missing so I needed this to fill that blank. No, I colored the other side for beauty & for show. I thought in my head of the most beautiful image & started drawing, using colors & blending them well. Trying not to push too hard & have the color bleed through into the story of my life. Colors unfolding, sweat pouring, & finally I’m done. I look down to see the image of a woman, something of the utmost beauty. I named her Madelyne. Madelyne was dressed in clothes of a powerful celebrity. The most perfect features that could only be obtained by excellent make-up. Hair, cut & styled to a perfect fashion. Clothes, or lack thereof, the body is beautiful, show it, don’t hide it. Whether she is truly perfect or not, in the eyes of others, does not matter. She is my symbol or perfection. She is only there to entertain my guests who want to take a look at the life of Matthew. A book with an excellent cover is more attractive to the eyes of passing people. Her colors do not show on the side of the paper known as my life. You may not agree with my choice of colors but if you love the story, my life, you won’t care about the cover. A library with all the books looking the same is boring. Stand out & stand tall & your cover will surely shine from the rest.
