Rik--"A wide variety has influenced me to create and keep going. To sum it up: Skinny Puppy and anything cEvin Key related, Tool, lots of Radiohead, Placebo, Bathory, Nine Inch Nails, Vision Of Disorder, Rammstein, Bauhaus, Fiona Apple, Joy Division, a lot of 90s alternative and definitely The Cure. Also the creativity of local bands like In The Name Of God and Tormentium."
Justin--"Social Distortion, Rancid, Bad Religion, Operation Ivy, American Steel, Dillenger Four, Wilco, The Weakerthans, Pearl Jam, Floater, Muse, Green Day, Shawn Mullins, Brandi Carlile, Queen, Modest Mouse, Johnny Cash, a lot of local music and a lot of music from the 50's and 60's. There are a lot more and none of these are in any particular order."
Sounds Like
Three friends playing music. Come to our shows and hear for yourself :)
Made Of Skin is a band of three individuals who find a distinctive sound combining backgrounds ranging from punk rock to industrial, classic rock and folk. Already established musicians in Eugene, Oregon, the guys came together in 2006 and have since defied genres and created a sound that fans describe as “comfort music” in its raw relatability.
We’re all made of skin. Understanding that one is vulnerable because of his human composition can open a person up to a whole range of emotions. These emotions are where great songs come into existence. In a collaborative effort, Made of Skin writes songs as they happen, in the moment. This visceral writing style gives songs an honesty that is hard to come by.
