Madina Lake Chicago [Warped Tour is ON!]'s Interests
General
About The Band
Madina Lake formed in 2005 in Chicago, Illinois, and is comprised of Nathan Leone (Vocals), Matthew Leone (Bass/Backing Vocals), Mateo Camargo (Guitar/Backing Vocals), and Dan Torelli (Drums). Their first show played was May 21st, 2005, at The Metro in Chicago. The band was signed onto Roadrunner Records in August of 2005, and released their EP The Disappearance Of Adalia August 22, 2006. The band's debut album, From Them, Through Us, To You, was released March 27, 2007. They also played the second stage on the 2007 Projekt Revolution tour which had given them a lot of promotion and a growing fanbase. In 2008, after small headlining tours and a brief stint on Warped Tour, they headed into the studio to record the follow-up to From Them, Through Us, To You. After a few pushes, Attics To Eden was released on May 5, 2009.
About The Members
Nathan Leone
Nathan Leone was born May 6. He is the lead vocalist of Madina Lake, and is the twin brother to bassist Matthew Leone. He received a sports scholarship, and pursued professional soccer careers in the U.S. and Italy. This man doesn't believe in the word 'fan.' If you come to one of their shows, you'll see that he can get pretty crazy while performing; he's known to dive off the stage into the crowd.
Matthew Leone
Matthew Leone, born May 6, is the bassist & backup vocalist of Madina Lake. After pursuing a professional soccer career, he decided to get involved in music, studying Music Management at Columbia College in Chicago. He first picked up a bass at the age of 17, teaching himself. He loves philosophy, and one day hopes to pursue a writing career. Matthew's favorite bands are The Smashing Pumpkins and Muse, while his favorite author is Erich Fromm.
Mateo Camargo
Mateo Camargo was born March 11, in Bogotá, Colombia, and is the guitarist of Madina Lake, as well as a songwriter and record producer. His guitar influences growing up were Nirvana, Ultrageno, NOFX, Pantera, Refused, and Radiohead. The moment he knew he would pursue a career in music was "seeing my sixth grade music teacher playing 'U-mass' (by The Pixies) in front of my whole high school. He took it seriously and started flipping out and broke some shit and then got fired. I was like, 'yep, I wanna do that'." The best advice he could give beginning guitarists is play for 10 hours a day and don't dare take lessons.
Dan Torelli
Dan Torelli, born August 7, is the drummer of Madina Lake. He spent his childhood in the town of Ridley. Dan is a vegetarian, and has recorded a video for www.peta2.com, supporting the organization. Dan also has an obsession with pirates, and has tattoos related to pirates. Torelli attended Full Sail in Orlando, FL for recording/audio engineering, which is where he met Mateo Camargo.

Madina Lake Chicago [Warped Tour is ON!]'s Details
Welcome to Madina Lake Chicago, or MLC for short; the first Chicago-based Madina Lake fansite!
First of all, we are not Madina Lake, nor are we in any way personally affiliated with Madina Lake or their crew: just fans (or, according to Nathan, 'friends').
This site was created for Madina Lake fans from all over to come together and talk about the band. Here, you can meet other Madina Lake fans, and make new friends. One of our biggest goals is to get these guys out there and known. They are such dedicated, hard working musicians, and they deserve way more credit for what they do. We've never seen a band so dedicated to their fans. It says 'Chicago' in the name solely because both owners are from the area, showing the hometown love, but you do not need to be from Chicago to add us.
And if you have anything to contribute to our photo albums, send them to us! Just make sure we get all the info; your name, the date/location of the show... ya' know, all the basic stuff. Videos are accepted as well, and will be posted with the rest, under the 'Live Videos' section.
This page is run and maintained by Lisa and Jenna. Yes we are both from the Chicagoland area (Lisa being in the military though, is not around Chicago so much.)
Goals for MLC in 2009...
- Get to 1,000 friends
- Have both Jenna and Lisa attend at least 1 ML show - Have at least 1 ML project that helps promote a specific show
