About me: Madisun.Felix (otherwise known as MFX) was founded by Charlynn Struckhoff and Beth Butts in the summer of 2006. We are privilaged to hold the honor of being deemed the "Official Design Firm for Sun Studio". The idea was simple enough, graphic design plus antiquity plus functionality equals great designs. The mission is to carry on the influences of such design predecessors as Ray and Charles Eames and keep the fuction of the design just as important as its form. The resourcefulness the Eames' shared drove their creative visions that have (in turn) inspired a new generation of designers.
The first project Madisun.FX became involved with was a photo shoot at Sun Studio that recreated the birth of modern Rock-and-Roll. Capturing the energy and atmosphere of such a pivitol time in the history of musical evolution was the primary inspiration. Elvis' first visit into Sun Studio occured in July of 1953, and in July of 2006-history revisited.
From his first nervous walk through the front door to record a two track recording for "his mother's birthday" through to the 1956 return of the newly crowned King of Rock-and-Roll, the road to Rock was chartered. From a pauper, to a King....
