Pink Floyd, Metallica, AC/DC, Bush, Korn, Rammstein, Rob Zombie, anything hard and fast that you can't dance to.
Books
The Hollywood Vampires stories by Matt R. Jones, The Anita Blake Series by Laurell K. Hamilton (before the main character turned into a nympho), The Vampire Files Series by P.N. Elrod, The Dresden Files Series by Jim Butcher, The Victory Nelson Series by Tanya Huff, and a MUST READ for EVERYONE is 'The Thief of Always' by Clive Barker.
Books to Avoid
Anything by Anne Rice (nothing but long winded descriptions and porn), the Vampire De Sade Series by Mary Anne Mitchell (paints a good mental picture, very descriptive, but can't weave a plot line, and leaves too many loose ends, left me feeling cheated), and The Count Ste. Germaine Series by Chelsea Quinn Yarbro (not that there's anything wrong with her work, she's a fine author, but I can't stand that oh-so-predictable historical romance crap.)
About me: I'm a goth, a vampire, and a Christian, but not necessarily in that order. I can be blunt and cynical, but also compassionate and naive. I am an excercise in opposites, a living paradox. Don't ever think you've figured me out, because even I haven't figured me out yet.
Who I'd like to meet: God. (I'm working to further blur the fuzzy line between pessimism and realism.)
A book, too?! You've outdone yourself, madam! Thank you very much again! I'll be starting on it as soon as I'm done with the zombie books and Iggy Pop book I also got for Christmas ... reading material for Christmas rules! And so do you, actually ... thanks again!
Whoo hoo! I was all weary and worn out yesterday when I got home, and to my delight, there were cookies waiting for me ... hell of a nice thing to come home to, thank you! They were all delicious and lasted about 20 minutes after I got the box open ... it was a loooooong day, and exactly what I needed! The rats send along many squeaks and whisker-tickles for their goodies, too, and have been quite enjoying them ... they're suckers for sweets, and these have got their teeth happily chattering whenever they get 'em!
Many, many thanks and merry belated Christmas to ya ... hope it was kick-ass and stuff!
