Sounds Like
Madly has been compared to Coldplay, Radiohead, and Oasis. Most often we're told we sound "refreshing," which says more than any comparison could.
"...captivating, thanks largely to the pipes of singer/pianist Joshua Minatrea and the swirling, U2-caliber guitars of Brandon Foreman. Keep your eyes on that quartet." - Dallas ObserverMadly are four musicians from the Dallas area who deliver powerfully beautiful piano-based rock. By combining the driving rhythms and simple melodies of the British rock movement with huge walls of meticulously crafted sound and lyrics that reflect a sensitivity, Madly engage the audience in a paradoxically relaxed and yet intense musical experience that brings light to a sometimes dark music scene.
Madly has performed at venues in Dallas such as the Liquid Lounge, the Door, the Curtain Club, and Gypsy Tea Room. Madly has also played the Dallas New Music Festival, and shared the stage with bands such as Flying Machine, Hendrick, Johnny Lloyd Rollins, Veda, Lovie, Ellus, and Michael Pritzl of the Violet Burning, among others. A full-length CD is in the works, and should be available soon.
A bit of news: Madly will be undergoing a line-up change as our drummer has departed in order to focus on his family and other aspects of his life. In the meantime, we will be writing new material in anticipation of future shows. Feel free to download the songs above, share with your friends, and keep your ears tuned - we look forward to seeing you at our next show!
