After a long sunday afternoon of huffing Home Depot brand decorative spray paint and acrylic primer out of a paper bag while enjoying a "What's Happening!!" all day marathon, respected Chicago burnouts Tom Donahue and Dominick Cali saw an ad for a traveling circus that was going to be in town that very night. While in attendance, thier freshly plastic coated minds were collectively blown by the dazzling theatrics of a husband and wife trapeze and high wire act billed as The Volbrechts. They decided to visit the couples dressing room, (a 1986 Toyota Corolla), to express their admiration and astonishment. Unbeleivably, from just outside the mobile backstage area they could hear what sounded like a crude version of the "What's Happening!!" theme song. When they peaked in the window and saw John Volbrecht strumming a guitar and Susan Volbrecht-Polz drumming along on the headrest of the front seat, they knew destiny had intervened, and the rest as they say is history... ..
