Madnessity is a 21 year old rapper/singer/songwriter from London.
Madnessity has been involved with music since a very young age and has progressed and continually improved over time into one of the most upcoming & elite hip-hop artists within the UK.
Influenced by major hip-hop artists such as Kano, Sway, Eminem, Ludacris, 50 Cent, Nas, Immortal Technique, Jay-Z, T.I. & Fabolous, Madnessity’s passion for music lies within hip-hop; producing hit records which anyone and everyone can relate to and enjoy.
Madnessity’s R ‘n’ B influences arise from the likes of R Kelly, Lyfe Jennings, Usher, Justin Timberlake, & Genuwine. Listening to such major and influential artists over the years has given Madnessity the inspiration to begin his journey along this road also.
Madnessity is no stranger to high pressure shows and success. Having participated and won the 2003 Respect Slam competition, he then went on to perform at the Millennium Dome (02 Centre) as part of a tribute event to Stephan Lawrence.
Madnessity’s success continued in 2004, where he became the first voice behind he MacDonald’s slogan, “I’m Lovin’ It”, here in the UK.
Madnessity has wowed the masses with his amazing lyrics and thrilling and engaging stage presence during LIVE performances at several venues.
Perhaps the most powerful performance was at Astonbury (Birmingham) in June 2008 where he supported Wiley, Kano & Zane Lowe on the main stage. Performing promptly before the headliners, Madnessity received the most outstanding reception of his career from the 3000+ in attendance and the headlining stars also.
Madnessity has also gone onto support Natalia, Mistjam (BBC Radio 1/1xtra) and Jay Sean and has been recognised for his ability to whip up a crowd frenzy no matter the venue!
There is no doubt, that performing and entertaining is one of Madnessity’s top priorities as an artist.
Within only a year within the music game, Madnessity has not only supported the biggest urban acts within the UK, but has also had his songs playlisted on major BBC radio stations.
A former 'Frictrion Introducing' artist, Madnessity has seen his music playlisted continously for over three weeks at a stretch.
In addition to recieving recognition via the airwaves, and from UK superstars, Madnessity has featured in two professional music videos and has also been fortunate enough to feature on two records with the biggest rapper of the present...Lil Wayne & Newcastle's own Dap-C on "Dap-C & Lil Wayne's Ma Money EP', which is due for release early 2009!
Currently Madnessity is recording the promo/mixtape album exclusively with Nasty Boi Productions which sees a combination of classic accepellas reinvented with a modernised urban flavour to capture the atmosphere of the present and future!
2009 will see many more features from Madnessity. With collaborations set with Anusha and major U.S artists, Quan & Kumasi (Black Wall Street), Madnessity is set to see his music soar overseas and expand an ever growing fan base!
Madnessity and his music have been receiving support and love throughout the UK, from fans to fellow unsigned acts and established artists also. Such artists include, Rishi Rich, Kano, Gym Class Heroes, Jay Sean, Quan, Kumasi, Anusha, DJ Ironik, Darren B, Cylena Cymone, Ultra, Serese & BBC radio presenters Bobby Friction & Nihal.
This support is continuously growing as Madnessity thrives to create music with catchy hooks and flows, supported with complimentary productions.
Providing RnB melodies along with a hard-hitting and rhythmic flow of rap vocals, Madnessity is a well rounded artist.
However the vocals are only half the battle in terms of producing a hit record, that’s why Madnessity chooses his producers very selectively such as, Nasty Boi, KJ (State Crown), Tremaine, A.R.D (EMG), A.K and Black Wunda.
