all the music you hear may not be top notch. it may not have the catchiest hooks, and actually may not even be good in any respect. but i'm so bored of the same old recycled shit.
MAD SCIENTIFIC just wants to make something fun and different, combining all of his influences which range from his father using his arms as drumsticks playing along to bands like the pink floyd, billy squier, the traveling wilbury's, & led zeppelin, to the grunge rock era of the 90's to the underground hip hop of the past 2 decades and all the jazz you can think of since the beginning of jazz and blues and r&b, to the sounds of the wind blowing through trees in a distant patch of land, the flapping of birds' wings flying overhead, the sound of a fish flashing in the water, to the colors of autumn and the feeling it brings him as a whole, to his friends, old and new, and artists that are completely original and plain amazing at what they do like medeski martin & wood, kaki king, umphreys mcgee, saul williams, dali, and the likes. do yourself a favor, and refresh yourself with something different. give his songs a quick listen and see where he's coming from. if you like it, share it. if you want copies, drop an email. music should be FREE. im in boulder colorado right now. i think im going to move here in about a year or so. after experiencing real mountains our hills just dont cut it. and here they have 300 days of sunshine :)
Shit is gold man. Reminds me of Floyd only with sicker drumming. Thats awesome that you like Umphrey's Mcghee too. My friend brought me to a show of theirs in the city. But until then I've never heard of 'em. Show was damn good so I bought a shirt. Then afterwards went to B.B. Kings to see the Indiana All-Stars. :]
