ALBUM OUT NOW ON CD / DOWNLOAD AT: CD Baby | iTunes + more
Mad Staring Eyes are a 3 piece from Camden Town who have been described as a cross between The Cure, The Smiths and The Clash.
In 2005, after releasing their debut EP, they won the John Peel 'Best New Band' award and played Glastonbury Festival that summer. Since then they have toured in the USA, Canada, Russia and Germany and played gigs with everyone from The Fratellis to The Subways to Pete Doherty.
Their debut album, 'Bored Of Looking Cool', recorded at Ray Davies' (The Kinks) Konk Studio in North London, was released in early 2008 on their own label, Retina Records.
Last year Mad Staring Eyes won the Toronto Independent Music Award for 'Best International Act' and were one of the select few UK bands to be invited to New York to play the prestigious CMJ Music Marathon.
The band have recently had their music featured on hit TV shows such as 'Skins' and 'Gossip Girl' and are now recording their second album.

it was alot of fun. quieter than it usually is but nonetheless alot of fun. personally we could've been better but we learned some important lessons. all bands hate pulling out but there's nothing you can do eh. we're hopefully gonna be recording an ep and giging more this summer so hopefully yea our paths will cross!
real shame you had to pull out on the 3rd, the sound guy explained , bad throats are never good. real shame, was really looking forward to playing with you. still hope your all better now

Hey Dan. Just dropping by to say hello and to let you know that we won the Best Indie Track of 2009 Award at the Exposure Music Awards on Saturday with NIGHTMARE.
hello friends (... ;-) ...) i've seen the video at your side... it makes my heart burning and my feet goes stepping... we hope to see you in germany this year... it would give us great pleasure to support you here!!! kisses from bernd (...i'm a great locust-fan, too...)
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. It is indeed I, Wes, as you correctly identified.
Thanks for saying you'd play for us! We only put Attack!!!! contributors on at the Attack!!!! events, though, that's the whole point of them.
And *that* involves recording a whole new song for us according to a given theme. Which is a bit of a big ask, I know... but maybe you want to! Details are here: http://www. ecartilage. co. uk/response. htm
So we're putting a gig on in London (Cafe OTO), on Wednesday (28th January), and it's going to consist of music from Cottonmouth Rocks, Yusuf Azak and Robh Hokum plus some spoken word pieces - all of it from Attack!!!! contributors. It's a fiver on the night. Hope you can make it. Please see our page for more details.
