Ferry Corsten 'Twice In A Blue Moon Remixed' - Out Now!!
Ferry Corsten - Twice In A Blue Moon Remixed - Out Now Twice In A Blue Moon is the hugely successful third artist album by trance heavyweight Ferry Corsten that is now available as a remixed package.
The Dutch superstar has consistently shown his electronic talent through slick production and epic DJ sets, with his success being illustrated in the DJ Top 100 poll top ten where Ferry has had a residency for the past six years, and was voted no. 7 in the 2009 awards held last week.
Twice In A Blue Moon Remixed shows Ferry handpicking a selection of upcoming and established producers to provide different interpretations of Mr Corsten’s original tracks from the album.
New talent Rafaël Frost does a re-rub of album opener Shelter Me whilst DJ Eco remixes title track Twice In A Blue Moon. Ummet Ozcan (Radio Crash Remix) and Patrick Plaice (Life Remix) also appear on the release whilst trance luminaries Markus Schulz (Brain Box Remix), Lange (We Belong Remix) and Solarstone (Gabriella’s Sky) also appear, giving new treatments to Ferry’s trademark sound.

Trance Awards - Winners Announced
Back for its fourth year, the Trance Awards have become recognised as the world's leading Trance Awards event. Held at London's finest Ministry of Sound on Friday 9th October, we are please to report that Maelstrom and our parent label New State dominated the proceedings.
Paul Van Dyk won a hat trick of awards with Best DJ, Best Producer, and Best song for Home. PVD also even came 2nd in categories of Best Album for Volume, and Best Song for For An Angel 2009.
Longstanding Maelstrom producer and legendary Radio 1 DJ Judge Jules won Best Club, for Judgement Sundays at Eden in Ibiza.
Whilst Gareth Emery who recently remixed Bobina's Time & Tide on Maelstrom, came 2nd in the category of Best Remixer.

Dance Nation vs Shaun Baker - Sunshine 2009
Back in 2001, Netherlands-based Dance Nation released Sunshine that quickly became a dancefloor classic across Europe and beyond with it’s catchy riff and chorus. Now back for 2009, Shaun Baker has done a special package of the original for the UK’s leading dance imprint, Maelstrom Records.
After leaving the UK in the eighties to live in Berlin, it didn’t take long for Shaun Baker’s DJ and production career to take off, having a massive hit with Explode (as part of project Jordan & Baker) in the German charts in 1997. Countless other hits followed, firmly placing Baker in Europe’s dance music elite.
Shaun Baker is not a big fan of cover versions so decided to hook up with the original producers and writers and secured the original vocal samples, making Sunshine 2009 a real official update instead of just another cover.
With five different mixes and edits that includes a Club, House and Radio versions, German producer Raindropz! Is also on hand, providing a tough mix perfect for peaktime alongside a radio edit.
With its anthemic chorus and punchy bassline, expect to hear Sunshine 2009 throughout clubland this summer.

Gareth Wyn New Single - Out Now!
2009 has been a big year for Cream Ibiza resident and Mixmag Future Hero, Gareth Wyn. Highlights include a main room appearance at the Radio 1 Cream Party at Privilege Ibiza, and his Prodigy sampling anthem ‘You're No Good For Me’.
Gareth now makes a welcome return to Maelstrom, with his third release on the label, the ‘double a-side’ Justice / Mozaik - two main room trance workouts of the very highest order.

Ruff Driverz Presents Arrola 'Dreaming 2009' - Out Now!
An absolutely massive tune for Ruff Driverz (Brad Carter & Chris Brown) back in the late 90’s, Dreaming was the flamenco inspired dancefloor hit featuring the vocals of Katherine Ellis. Since then, Dreaming is still included on loads of dance anthem-inspired albums and music shows and Maelstrom now present this storming remix package of the original.
Hoxton Whores step up to the remix table first and turn out an electro-tinged number, filled with bleeps and punchy riffs. Hot Slovenian producer, Beltek, is up next encasing the vocal with synth keys and making full use of the breakdown. Hard dance king and queen BK & Anne Savage pack out a tough re-rub whilst Paul Morrell serves up a slice of driving tech trance. Rounding off the package nicely is Filthy Fiction who accentuates the Latino spirit of the original for a summery, house vibe.
A remix package where there really is a cut for every taste, Dreaming is back, fresh for 2009 in its many forms, waiting to be discovered by a whole new group of music lovers and to be remembered by those who loved it the first time round.
