In the end it is the public, the people who listen to the songs, who determine the chart from the songs they hear. But can we trust the commercially motivated compilers to expose us to the best songs in the first place... are we sure the chart is really made up of peoples favorite songs??

What is Maemeeti ?

This motivated us to create Maemeeti, the webs first outlet for your favorite music. Thanks to a quick and easy-to-use voting system Maemeeti brings a library of user rated songs to the public..

Dedicated to anyone wishing to express an opinion, from the Dj to the producer, from the rock band to the Latin group... Including charts for Drum'n'bass, Ambient, House, Trance, Pop, Latin and many, many more on the Home page.


But most importantly Maemeeti is dedicated to people who want to support their favorite songs, no matter the genre or the era.

And why shouldn’t it be that an unknown Dj can have more votes than an experienced producer if his song is better popular? This way the chart reflects the choice of the people, not the choice of a commercial compiler. Isn’t it better this way?

In Maemeeti you can vote and introduce new songs, pieces that may not have even been published yet! How many times have you listened to the song of a friend, an unreleased work and liked it more than some songs already playing on the radio?


We think this shouldn’t be! Music is art and belongs to everyone. And therefore everyone should have a part in the world of the music…!


But if your music is unreleased and unavailable how can you share it with others? Our answer is MySpace! Through MySpace.com artists have the opportunity to introduce their pieces, and to load them into their personal MySpace page so that even people from the other part of the world can enjoy, listen, and vote!


Songs can be introduced only by registered users, but to sign up requires only 30 seconds: all you need to give is a username, nickname, email, password and, if you’re a MySpace / Youtube member, a link to your page. Once you’re a Maemeeti member you are free to introduce tracks and that’s it. All that’s left then is for you to vote and be voted for. You have three possible votes a week for each top hit. Then follow how your songs are getting on and don’t forget to let your friends know you’re in too!
