INTERVIEW with SoundCheck
"Maesa Rae has one of those uncommonly good voices that you only stumble upon once in a great while. Throughout her young adult life, her voice has been compared most with that of Norah Jones. However, there is something perhaps a bit more playful, perhaps misanthropic, in her voice. A darkness criss-crossing the lightness.
That's not an easily accomplished feat for someone her age."

Thanks maesa! it's nice to hear from you. If you're in the city sometime I'd love to catch up. Also I have a home studio now and could record some of your new material. How is life?
that sounds awesome! we definitely should. we saw dan cluchey at the mountain goats concert in northampton the other day and he yelled "songwriting reunion!" but that doesn't count.
maesa!!! really great songs! you have a lovely voice! congratulations on your music! i'll be in new york April 27th. i might go to Boston for a day to visit. i hope i can meet u there! great to hear from u and your songs by the way your spanish was very good. B+ (i'd give u an A but i figured it would be kind of condescendent...or condescending...chocking on big words here!the pain!) saludos, delfi!
hey thanks for stopping by for a few songs. I thought I was going to be going to the antihoot tonight but i actually just found out i have tickets to shakespeare in the park. So good luck tonight playing the open mic night- talk to a bunch of people, have fun. And meet me tomorrow @ the lucky cat in bklyn @ 6:30 to sign up for that one. have fun!
maesa you need to put your new music up first. and second you need to let me know how i can get a hold of a cd of your music. i work at a spa in vail and the spa manager is a good friend of mine and heard your music and she wants to play it at the spa. other than that let me know how you are doing. we are still family remember
Maesa,
I wish I would've seen you before you left, but I didn't. Oh well, I'll see you next year or over the summer, if I end up in NYC. Have a great summer, and thanks for playing my basement those times.
