Maetar is brothers Itai and Hagai. We are inspired by the vision that through music and art we as individuals and as a whole can achieve higher levels of awareness and compassion. We are influenced by every piece of information that passes our senses. We love rhythm, groove, space, creativity and communication. If you need definitions then- “Jazz-Funk-World-Mid-East-Classical-Free-Rock-Other” is a start. We love to invent and innovate as we use our instruments as divining rods to the wells of the ineffable. We are very excited about our current project - collaboration with one of the true living legends of music – the incredible drummer James Gadson (Bill Withers, Marvin Gaye, Paul McCartney, Beck, D’Angello, to name a few).
We are working on a new show, CD and DVD and can’t wait to share the gift and joy of this amazing music with you.
