About me: Started in 1979 by Tom - the Magazine of Country Music was formerly just a column in the "Country In The City News" until it branched off on it's own to be the self standing unit it is today. The magazine is the oldest established free country music publication in the USA as recognized by Ronnie Pugh, librarian for the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum (Sept. 1999).
This free publication has been in circulation for over 29 years, with the heaviest distribution all over Southeast Michigan. We have many out-of-state subscribers and we also deliver to Windsor, Flint, Port Huron, and Toledo quite heavily. Our huge list of subscribers includes readers from all over the country, and Canada as well.
This family oriented magazine highlights the rapidly growing country music market here in Detroit as well as the national acts we all follow and love so much. And we keep growing with every issue!
