Magdelayna AKA Adam Rodriguez hails from West Yorkshire,England...he produces emotive uplifting & ambient trance which always focuses on leading the listener on a journey using emotional thought-provoking melodies,sweeping pads & intricate FX... massive influences over the years for him have been Laurent Verronez,M.I.K.E. & Ferry Corsten aswell as labels such as Platipus,Hooj & the Global Underground series & clubs including Gatecrasher & Godskitchen to name but a few.

He started producing in 1999 with very basic software on the PS1 & PS2 - 'Music 2000 & Music 3000'! In those years he got a feel for how electronic music should be made concerning the structure,percussion,kicks,breakdowns etc.

Adam Finally started using Pro Software in 2005,using Reason,Ableton Live and then onto Logic 7 as his main sequencer and with that he created a new alias 'Magdelayna' to coincide with a more Professional approach to his productions.

Aswell as making original trance tracks,Adam produced a host of Ambient/Chillout trance remixes of well known tracks such as 'Gouryella - Ligaya' , 'Armin & Ferry From The Heart' & 'Arksun - Arisen' - all of which were very popular with listeners.

Adam got his first major break in the summer of 2006 when his track 'Prolific' was signed to Aurora Digital records including an awesome Timefactor remix.He also finished his first full vocal project - a remix of Lustral's 'Because Of You' which recieved great feedback.

In 2007 he had another release on Aurora,with the futuristic trancer ‘Rings of Saturn’ complete with a Venera Remix.

His collaboration with Richard Gale - ‘Back to the Stars’ gained big DJ support by the likes of Aly & Fila,Markus Schultz & Kyau & Albert,aswell as featuring on numerous other radio shows,including Dave Pearce's BBC Radio show 'Dance Anthems'. This track was snapped up by Greenspot Music and was released in 2008. Adam then became an in-demand remixer & was asked to remix Aerium & Krivi’s ‘Forever Playing’, this uplifting track had support from Aly & Fila again in a host of their sets.

In August 2007 Adam started a monthly radio show on Danceradio.gr entitled ‘Moments of Energy’ This was to showcase his style as a DJ,including new exclusive productions & remixes straight from the studio,aswell as playing some of his current favourite tracks & personal past classics. The show has developed a good following and regularly recieves over 1000 listeners a month.

2008 saw Adam do guest mixes for Crystal Clouds and also take part in Afterhours FM's 'End of Year Countdown' mix,alongside 300 other DJ's - it was his first producer-only set as Magdelayna and proved one of the most popular of the event,with an exclusive chilldown version of 'Gouryella - Gouryella' as the opener.

Coming into 2009,he has more releases lined up,which included his third Aurora single 'Second Universe',which again had more support from Aly & Fila,and also a few more remixes he has been working on,aswell as continuing his ‘Moments of Energy’ show - which switched to popular net station Afterhours FM and made its debut there in July.
