Since 2005 I have been performing at various venues and festivals at my home base here in St. John's, Newfoundland.
In '07, by word of mouth I was asked to hit the stage as Sarah Slean's opening act. This February I was invited by Lindsay Ferguson to play a gig at The Black Sheep in beautiful Wakefield, Quebec. That was where I took part in an all-girl singer-songwriter circle, and got my first taste of the open road.
Lately I've been playing the downtown bar circut as much as possible and writing just as much as possible. Last summer I came out with my first self-titled EP, produced by friend and fellow musician, Len O'Neill.
For me song writing happens and making music is a way of life. I love to share my music with people and express myself in the most positive, productive way I know how.
I recently released my second EP, "On The Side". I am currently collaborating with fabulous local musicians Craig Follett, Brad Power and Elliot Dicks. Together we call ourselves
Maggie Meyer and The Marsupials.
I plan to release a full-length in partnership with the band by next fall.
