There are plenty of female vocalists in modern music today.
Many are exceptional. Fewer still stand out as special. Then there are those rare gems that just come out of nowhere as if they’ve been there all along. Maggie Szabo is definitely one of those kind of artists. All the creative bio writing in the world just isn’t going to do justice to the songs.
And that voice.
Some more seasoned ears will hear a young Carole King. Younger ears will start at Diana Krall and work their way forward to Adele, Duffy or Ms. Winehouse.
Regardless of the musical ballpark… this is quality stuff.
