Maggie & The Misfits were formed in May of 2004 performing
Traditional Country Music, prior to 1980
In August 2006 a new group of musicians were put together.
We only play traditional country prior to 1980
We are not only a dance band we also perform a show,
Tribute To The Country Music Legends. We have Willie Luster from New Mexico as Hank Williams Sr., Mary McDonald from Oklahoma as Kitty Wells, Maggie Penn from Illinois as Loretta Lynn and Stan Gelsthorpe from Iowa as Ernest Tubb. We have played twice at the Opera house in Anson, TX, Brownfield, TX, Indiana, Missouri several places and Illinois. We are working on dates for Michigan, Wisconsin, Kentucky, Florida and Mississippi.

Wow, I haven’t heard that song in years
You guys not only play country, you sound and dress country
One couple told us....they really enjoyed themselves and the music,
and that a night out don’t get no better then that.
If we know there is a guest musician or singer in the house,
we usually ask them to get up and sing or play a couple songs.
For the short time this group has been working together,
we already have a small following. But we can’t
guarantee all will follow us everywhere we play.
