Sounds Like
Breaking Glass with a hint of absinthe and a little torch song....
..With a touch of an evil torch song laced with the alter ego of post-punk, the Magick Daggers are creating a fierce sound unique to their locale of Portland, Oregon. Formed in 2006 by Jessy Montaigne, (the former ringleader of San Francisco’s influential Subtonix) and Maximillion Avila (of Get Hustle, Antioch Arrow and Holy Molar), they have already released their first EP on Manimal Vinyl, recorded by Joshua Hughes of Rabbits/Pleasure Forever, and are currently writing their first full length album due in the Spring of 2008. Their haunting resonance embodies a diabolical merge of 1920s Weimar Cabaret influences contrasted by horror film shrieks and ether static sung through a wall of reverb. Atmospheric eerie organs are attributed to the lovely Xtine Sorenson on keys, adorned by their Cello player Allegra M, Percussionist Kenna and Aaron Montaigne on backing drums. The live show is a disjointed rabbit hole, moving from chaotic and frenzied dance songs, to swirling sinister piano ballads. Also in past haunts and recordings the Daggers have been joined by Kim E. Namany of NYC on Theramin and the lovely Miss Kaetlin Kennedy of Garland Ray Project.
come see leny and i (as inuksuk) attempt to meld the force with the dark side in order to reach the next level of consciousness (this involves many synthesizers, chants, delay units and the massive amplication there of...)...USA! USA!

Hat's off to you , my brother, my baron, for the successful return of the Un-shy and the re conjuring of the Black Lodge. Praise be to you for continuing to stamp out the prophets of mediocrity and the ushering in of the horned elders. you get unlimited free minutes on those lower root channels of the untapped vortexes and wormholes of old, huh? we'll be talkin soon then. I would have sold my soul to baphomet in your honor but some meth head trucker stole my guitar (gibson 1939 L G, -see two known photographs of Robert Johnson, that's the axe) so what's the f'in point? Might as well keep it, you never know, it could come in handy one of these days. It's raining here and the sun is shining. They say that's when the devil is beating his wife. If i hear of you raising a hand to jesse i'm on the next flight out with a garlic necklace, my granny's rosary, and some audio cassette recordings of Billy Graham's Greatest Hits. Have some absinthe for me. I'm a Capri Sun Man myself. Love Stewart
