Magic On Ice

Established in 1999, STEVE WHEELER PRODUCTIONS, INC. is a collaboration of some of the most creative designers, directors, artists, composers, engineers and technicians in the entertainment field today. The SWP, INC. designers draw upon their vast experience with the top entertainment productions in the world including David Copperfield, Cirque Du Soleil and Walt Disney Imagineering. In the first year of operations, Steve Wheeler Productions, Inc., created original productions for Six Flags Magic Mountain in Los Angeles, Disney Ikpiri in Tokyo, Japan and staged spectacular ice illusions for the opening ceremonies of the National Hockey League season. In 2000, Wheeler's TV Special, ‚"Starskates Magic‚" aired on NBC. The internationally televised event prompted sell out crowds of Wheeler's full evening production at the Genting Highlands Resort Hotel & Casino in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The overwhelming popularity of this unique ‚ "Magic On Ice", production resulted in an extension of the 26 week run through the year 2001. Wheeler Productions, Inc. expanded operations in 2002 with a new production for the MGM Mirage resort, Beau Rivage on the Gulf Coast of Mississippi, USA. "Magic On Ice", appeared in the beautiful 1600 seat Beau Rivage Theater and received overwhelming audience and crital acclaim. "Magic On Ice" traveled to Seoul, Korea in 2003 for a one year engagement at the Sheraton Grande Walkerhill Hotel Casino and a KBS (Korean Broadcasting System) network TV special. Later that year it was announced that Magic On Ice will make the Sandcastle Theater on the tropical island of Guam, USA their new home immediately following the Korean engagement. In 2004, a new edition of "MOI" was conceived and presented by Wheeler at the $32 million dollar Sandcastle Theater in Guam, the theater boasts Italian marble floors, exquisite hand-cut crystal chandeliers and a lush 550 seat showroom. The new production features exotic white tigers, new costume designs, custom illusions and an expanded ice surface.
