MAGIC Teen Talk Chicago—the OFFICIAL mature, teen-talk show, for teens by teens. This informative hour-long magazine talk show is designed to educate, entertain, stimulate social change and serve as a springboard for teens to voice their perspective and opinions on current events, issues and hot innovative trends. This platform will also serve as a training ground for teens to broadcast, host and produce their own television show for the benefit of empowering themselves and their communities. Ultimately serving as a catalyst for social activism as well as entrepreneurship.

Who I'd like to meet: MAGIC Teen Talk Chicago is searching for creative, articulate, energetic and motivated teens ages 14-18 to represent their schools, churches, organizations and communities to be featured on its Teen Talk Show. Positions include:

Graphic Artists

Floor Managers
Adult Volunteers

Metropolitan Area Group for Igniting Civilization, Inc. (MAGIC) mission is to organize and mobilize residents of Woodlawn and the surrounding areas to create and stimulate social change.
About Us:
Metropolitan Area Group for Igniting Civilization (MAGIC)—is a non-profit 501 (c) 3 active youth service group based in Woodlawn. Joseph Strickland, a native Woodlawn resident and University of Chicago—School of Social Service Administration graduate, founded the organization in 2001. In 2002, LeVon Stone, Bryan Echols, Vanessa Muhammad, Jesse Jones and others joined MAGIC to help catapult it into an effective youth development organization.
Through its prevention projects, leadership development program for teen women and men, youth organizing initiative, after-school apprenticeships, art and culture activities, string instrument program and teen talk show—MAGIC serves over 200 Woodlawn youth annually.
