And that's the idea behind the Magners Irish Sessions.
We're putting on a series of gigs celebrating the Irish tradition of spontaneous music. Each night in a different UK city, Irish legends Sharon Shannon, Mundy and Damien Dempsey will take to the stage with a selection of their closest friends and fire the place up for a classic Irish session.
The venues will be small, packed and intimate - and every show will be a one-off. How it goes will be up to the audience and players.
Like the best gigs, it should be lively, passionate and full of surprises.
So, come along, find yourself some space, see who turns up and experience a real Irish session.
The inaugural Magners Irish Session took place on Monday 8th September at The Boogaloo in North London.
