...the rebels had been scattered to all corners of the country by the time the wind blew the ramblin' nate pilgrim into the rock-island where the Magnificatz were about to brew their ‘billy'.
Seeing the band, Nate unslung his 6 string, but hadn't cleared the leather before the band let rip a burning strip of rockabilly that fairly blew the wind right out again. Taking 12 paces and turning to the mic, nate lrt loose a volley of loops and licks that dropped them to the dust, and soon enough, Nate and the ‘Catz knew it was their rite to band together, and to put the whole world behind 12 bars.
and so the story continues…
As authentic as a ‘56 Cadillac, Nate Pilgrim’s four piece, ’The Magnificatz,’ play an energetic blend of the catchiest old-school rockabilly, infused with some of the finest country licks around.

Nate Pilgrim and The Magnificatz live at Northampton’s Legendary Labour Club, 13th June 2009
Nate Pilgrim and The Magnificatz is a British rockabilly combo who have been playing a hot blend of country & western, rhythm & blues, pure rockabilly music for just over eighteen months, and are already favourites on the local and national club scene, despite only releasing one EP.
Looking every inch the part in their 1950s-inspired threads, Nate Pilgrim and The Magnificatz stormed into a 16-song set consisting of some captivating cover versions including “One Cup of Coffee, Glenn Glenn”/” Big River, Johnny Cash”, and of “Course Sweetie Pie, Eddie Cochran”.
The crowd whistled and hollered for more and even the late great Gene Vincent, Eddie Cochran, and Elvis Presley(Chief Hillbilly), were “rockin on heavens door” at the magic of these guys coming together to make such great music.
Great band, great tunes and truly unsigned heroes.

Support from sweet baboo (Country)
SWEET BABOO is one of those rarities, a singer-songwriter that has no preachy clichés, doesn’t take himself too seriously and has humour without being a novelty act.
Northwalian born, now Cardiff based cult solo artist Sweet Baboo a.k.a Stephen Black, has been quietly building a reputation with his darkly comical brand of bittersweet, acoustic alt country. It has drawn admiring glances from everyone from Mark Riley and Tom Robinson (BBC Radio 6) to Daniel Johnston who asked him to back him up on the Cardiff leg of his European tour. Stephen has recently released his debut album ‘The Mighty Baboo’ on his very own Business Man records and will be playing tracks from his debut album supporting NatePilgrim .
Sweet Baboo's debut album 'The Mighty Baboo' - is out now,

Hard work, great songs and energetic live shows have seen this band move up to a Hellcat Records staple.
