...the rebels had been scattered to all corners of the country by the time the wind blew the ramblin' nate pilgrim into the rock-island where the Magnificatz were about to brew their ‘billy'.
Seeing the band, Nate unslung his 6 string, but hadn't cleared the leather before the band let rip a burning strip of rockabilly that fairly blew the wind right out again. Taking 12 paces and turning to the mic, nate lrt loose a volley of loops and licks that dropped them to the dust, and soon enough, Nate and the ‘Catz knew it was their rite to band together, and to put the whole world behind 12 bars.
and so the story continues…
As authentic as a ‘56 Cadillac, Nate Pilgrim’s four piece, ’The Magnificatz,’ play an energetic blend of the catchiest old-school rockabilly, infused with some of the finest country licks around.

is my usual sort of thing, which runs from acoustic guitars screaming, then gathers its weapons of mass feedbackification and destroys all acoustic guitars whilst cackling manically before eating the straitjackets with french mayonnaise - take that, Damien Rice!
er - does actually use acoustic guitars now, though not as many as the electric ones. and not very often.
i don't think i'll be wanting to gig it though. haven't got time for a One Dog band as well as the Itto one..

WIGSVILLE SPLIFFS - The Wigsville Spliffs are rollin’ into Cambridge for a rare show at the Man on the Moon. Formed back in the late 70’s the band played authentic 50’s style rockabilly and by the mid 80’s they had set the local scene on fire and become regulars at London’s infamous Klubfoot, playing with Restless, Guana Batz and Demented are Go amongst others. Fast forward to 2008, Wigsville Spliffs reform for a show stopping come back at the Bedlam Breakout Psychobilly Festival and follow that with a “jaw dropping” set at the Satanic Stomp festival in Germany in April 2009. With a harder and heavier sound and a new release imminent on the legendary Raucous Records the “spliffs” are back! If you’re a fan of rockabilly, psychobilly, or just love great music, come down and rock with the Wigsville Spliffs! www.myspace.com/wigsvillespliffsofficial
