Click on the titles to listen to my music podcast: ...... .. .. .. .. .. .. .. ...................... ..Seit den frühen 90-er Jahren ist Computer-Künstler Mahabaschi mit seinen Video-Animationen tätig. Zuerst gründete er mit Freunden das krefelder Psy-Trance-Projekt "Mental Blow". Später präsentierte er seine psychedelische Vorstellungskraft bei zahlreichen, elektronisch orientierten Tanzveranstaltungen wie zum Beispiel der ersten "Blue-Room-Released" und der "Extrasensory Perception" in Dortmund, der "Mixpickles-in-Art" (im Rahmen der Art-de-Cologne) um nur ein paar Highlights zu nennen. Seit einigen Jahren ist er als Resident Videojockey des Kölner Electric Circus unterwegs und zeigte seine Filme bereits in den Vorjahren auf der "S.O.M.A." und der "Earthdance". Mit Programmen wie Photoshop und Flash verarbeitet er teis gescannte, teils selbst fotografierte Bilder zu bunten, popartig-surrealen Filmen, die im Einklang mit elektronischer Musik eine gewisse groovige Eigendynamik entwickeln. Hier und da gibt es auch einen Schuss 3D-Animationen dazu. Seid ein paar Jahren komponiert er auch elektronische Musik, Stilrichtungen Dub, Ambient, Electronica u.v.m. In the early nineties Mahabashi's creative career began with psychedelic computer art and the illumination of several big techno- and goa trance Parties, electronic music festivals and art exhibitions in Germany (Cologne, Krefeld, Duesseldorf, Dortmund e.t.c.). He travelled to India many times and this gave him a lot of colorful inspiration. His visuals can be described as a mix of pop art, surrealism, computer animation and psychedelic art. In the late nineties he discovered more and more his musical abilities on the computer. He composed a lot of instrumental tracks on his mac. By the way, "Mahabaschi" (with sch) is the original german spelling, "Mahabashi" is for the english/international people, who might have a problem to pronounce the "sch" properly.
