The Brothers Mahon have been entertaining the steel beams of their warehouse on the south side of Madison, Wisconsin since the mid eighties- the revolving door of accompanying musicians spinning constantly.
While "Mahon" shuns the over used "sounds like..." catchphrase, their edgy, angular, melodic music and poetic lyrics resonate with everything from sixties pop and psychedelia to seventies stadium acts to British punk and New Wave to Film Noir and Faulkner.
Their debut album "Traveler's Directory" takes the listener on the full journey. Buckle up.
Friday night at the Freq was cool. Well, it was hot & humid. But, the beer was cold, and you guys were great! Never seen an audience-member hop/pogo-dance so rapidly(WEIRD!)

RELEASE SHOWS!!!!!! april 16th @ the frequency - madison, WI
ok, i know madison people do not like to leave their suburban homes but this is a cool show. Worrier is one of my favorite new bands and is made up of members of 2 of my other favorites, Forsake Ya To The Snakes and Free Diamonds. Zola Jesus is a cool weirder experimental group and Diablo Blanco is a dirty garage rock style band from Chicago. pretty good line-up i would say. try leaving your house thursday and try to make it to the corral room. together we can try to bring fun to madison.
