Today this woman brought in her lab puppy because it had runny stools and was vomiting up worms. We get the pup on the table and I stick in the fecal loop to obtain a stool sample, and when I pull the loop out, an adult roundworm comes with it. The loop comes out but the worm is half hanging out this poor puppy's butt, wiggling around. I had to grab a pair of hemostats and pull the rest of the worm out. The damn thing was a good 5 or 6 inches long.
