On November 23rd Maida Vale plays in 't Oude Pothuys, Utrecht. It will be a full concert, 2 sets. The band will play a lot of new material. It starts at 23.00.

On May 19th Maida Vale plays at the Eramus sound Festival in Belgium. Details will be published shortly.

May 31 2011
After a long break Maida Vale is back again with a completely new line-up. The new band members are: Carline Kepel - vocals, Sebastiaan Broere - drums, Wym van Noort - keyboards, Moniek Voulon - bass. Ronald Bleys is still the man on guitar. The band is having a keyboard player for the first time and is rehearsing to start gigging again after summer. The band will play a mixture of old and brand new songs.

Biography

Maida Vale is based in Utrecht, The Netherlands. The band plays heavy rock with lots of melody and tongue-in-cheek humour.

Maida Vale released two albums, Moscow Delight (2002) and Prefab Bliss (2004), which enjoyed positive reviews ("This band has guts" .... "Interesting band with a clearly distinguishable original sound" .... "The band combine progressive rock, metal and punk in an inimitable manner").

A new dimension to the Maida Vale sound was added in 2005 when female singer Kinke Miedema joined the band. Up to then the band had male singers. The renewed sound was captured on the EP Neo-Bliss (2005) which contains a remake of 3 Prefab Bliss tracks.

In 2008 Maida Vale contributed to a compilation CD with 15 female fronted metal bands. The CD, entitled 'Ferocity and Femininity', featured bands from the UK, the US, Canada, Australia, Norway and the Netherlands. The Maida Vale contribution was a new version of 'Remote control'. 'Ferocity and Femininity' has been distributed throughout the UK and is sold through Amazon.

After a break the band was relaunched in 2011, but with a completely new line-up. Next to original band member Ronald Bleys (guitar), there is Carline Kepel (vocals), Sebastiaan Broere (drums), Wim van Noort (keyboards) and ex-Blue Murder musician Moniek Voulon (bass).
