Thank you John and Elizabeth Edwards for reminding the Democratic Party and the nation that it is the people, not the politicians and special interest groups that really matter! I hope Senators Obama and Clinton continue what you have started.

Well the caucus of Maine is over in my town, you have to remember I do live in small town Maine. My town Monroe has 875 people in it and today we had 53 concerned Democrats at our town caucus. Well when it was time to pick your candidate iw was Obama with 29, Clinton with 10, Kucinich 10, and JRE with 2 my wife and I. Well we all had our chance to speak and try to get movement. Well to make a long story short, it wound up with Obama with 34, JRE with 10 and Clinton with 9. There were people that I feel would of moved to Edwards if we were able to do more one on ones with. But feel great about taking second place overall. I will send pictures of the over 100 Edwards signs I have out along the road on my property.
We were true to JRE and convinced more to join us. And stayed with our candidate through out.
Yes!!! We voted for John...Let him go to the convention to let our voices be heard.
I want to let John know that 1/3 of his votes were split between the Clinton and Obama in our area. Your voice was heard John and Maine is still winning you delegates today. I made sure that everyone understood that each voice counts. Positive note democrats lead in Maine.
Hey There my friend Maine for Sen. Edwards, just leavin cheers, seldom do I get a comment, I can send to my male friends, smile, Ps. its not over, keep up the good fight, ============== **************
Hi, Thanks for sending me a caring Happy Birthday comment.
A few minutes ago, I received a New York Times news alert, stating that the Associated Press has learned that John Edwards is exiting the Presidential race, and will be making a formal announcement to that effect at 1 PM today, in New Orleans. I really hope that this news alert is incorrect, because I was hoping that Edwards would continue his campaign all the way to the Democratic National Convention, as he indicated earlier. I was really hoping to vote for Edwards, and to urge other people to do so, at the Maine State Caucus, coming on February 10. I feel that Edwards is a MUCH better candidate than either Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama, in terms of his level of heartfelt compassion for downtrodden struggling people, sincerity, integrity, warmth, intelligence, depth of vision, and electability. Of course, I am hoping that Edwards will continue his Presidential Campaign all the way to the Presidential Convention, in case the people change their minds and later decide to vote for him, which could occur if more information comes out about weaknesses and deficiencies in the other major Democratic Presidential Candidates. However, if Edwards does not receive the Democratic Presidential Nomination, I hope that he will still mobilize his followers, including us, to participate in a national and global One America campaign, actively working to make a better world through progress in terms of poverty reduction, environmental protection, human rights, domestic and international peace and justice, etc. A few weeks ago, I sent Edwards's campaign some ideas for further developing his campaign message and vision for Presidential leadership, but I received only a form letter from the Edwards campaign in response.
Should you wish to discuss Edwards future, the One America campaign, or anything else with me, now, or at some time in the future, I hope that you will feel free to do so.
I am happy to add you to my Myspace page. In Election 2004, John came to Lewiston and I was there with my great uncle who is a WWII veteran. He was so proud to be there with me and so proud he had the chance to ask John a question. I later got to meet John's wife at another event. Check out the Lewiston Democrats website to see photos of these events from 2004. http://www.geocities.com/lcdc_auction/index.html and look under the flipping photo album.
John Edwards for Maine! We want someone who can carry out our voices. We want a true person who doesn't have to get votes by others representing them or paying others to do so. Campaign is about person to person getting out the message. Let our voices be heard! Myspace is a great place to let your friends pass on the word. Thanks for the support, Lynn
Hey i say we gather supporters from across the east coast and myspace supporters and such on and arrange a rally somewhere reasonable and hopefully rally for Edwards so we can attract media attention.
The Portland Democratic Party is hosting a happy hour on Jan. 10th from 5:30-8pm. It's at the Irish bar Slainte on Preble St. (across from the public market). See you there--and good luck John!!!!!
