….Four piece Indie Rock band from Bournemouth, England Maine Street, have established themselves locally as a force to be reckoned with. Grabbing traditional song writing sensibility by the throat, kicking it round the room and handing it back wide-eyed, bloody and dazed... the band have developed a sound that has been described as 'Alternative Indie Rock with Balls'.
…They are now taking their music to the masses and have spent much of 2004 & 2005 ensuring their music is listened to on a national scale…
Their sleepy aura - the product of living by the seaside for too long - is blasted aside when Maine Street take to the stage, ripping through their impressive sonic catalogue with a heady cocktail of guts and panache.
If you want songs about life, love, small-town mentality and the ambition and yearning to break out then you're learning about the right band. Gigs are constantly sold out due to their anthemic sets, which they do so well. Their live performances culminated in the band supporting signed Liverpool band ‘ The Bandits on their recent UK tour. The three part harmonies, which set Maine Street apart from many of the other bands in the same genre, have developed and evolved in to an integral part of the bands sound.
In 2002 they released their debut album 'Songs From Point Zero' which is available in local HMV stores. This was recorded in Greenwich in the spring of 2002 and it is still considered a major achievement to get the album sold through a major music outlet in the UK without having the backing of a record company.
2005 has been the bands most successful year to date with their debut single release 'I'm In' playlisted nationally and in America and Australia. This has all culminated in the band confirming a slot @ The Garage in Highbury on 4th February. The band has developed through the years and Maine Street have certainly found the sound they have been striving for.
New album 'The Electric Press' has now been recorded @ Escapade in Greenwich and will available early February 2006. The 11 track album features all the tracks the band have been gigging throughout 2005 and everyone is agreed this recording is definately the best yet!...
…A real band, a real commitment, a real talent, in a real world ….
Maine Street are a very impressive outfit indeed!
Hello lovely people join Fearne tomorow as they take on Londons Rock Garden in Covent Garden. Bit of weird one though the doors open @ 3:00pm & the gig ends at 9:00pm there’s really good half price food & wine they won’t tell us what time we’re on but I think the idea is that people have to stick around appreciate all the artists which is brilliant. The atmosphere is quality & is loads better than other London venues. If you can’t make it because of mothers day I understand completely but maybe you could bring mum along? Looking Forward to seeing you there. Print the flyer below to obtain cheaper entry.
whats up? i found this site and thought i'd tell everyone, it shows you if anyone at school likes you. i dont know how it works but its really cool, it told me a couple different people who have crushes on me. you gotta try it!

Hiya Main Street, hope your ok, we would be gratefull if you could come down to support us this friday at Dylans bar, inside B'mouth uni, we will be on at about 8:00
We're playing the last ever solid air at Le Bateau in Parkstone this evening (Sunday 29th); If you've ever been then you'll know it's an ideal place to listen to some chilled out tunes with a crisp beer on a warm spring evening.
Following a selection of the area's finest acoustic artists including: Elliott Paterson, Sonnet (unplugged), Matt Cameron and Pierre Le Blag (Perico/Pee Pee) Burning Sheppard (The Clams' Olly Hopper & Andy Stock), Mali Madden, Tim Berry and The Sarah Griffen Band; we'll be mixing it up with some new songs and some new toys. Acoustic guitars, upright bass, brushed drums and percussion define the vibe.
First act should start around 8:00, and the music will go till midnight; entrance is free.
Whether or not you make it down tonight, you can catch Romin and Jean-Paul playing some tracks and shooting the breeze with Tony Warren on Forest FM radio (92.3 FM) based in Verwood at 8:00PM tomorrow (Monday 30th), if you're too far away then you can listen live online here.
DO you know whats on most girl's minds but they won't tell you or will they.
I am telling you this because it is the honest truth, look I should know, they say that it is all in the way you use it, not how big it is, well I got news for you all, that is pure lies.
I know from personal experience, I will tell you about a secret that gil has made me promise to never ever tell anyone, but since he has not called me in three weeks after standing me up, I am going to break the promise and tell you how he went from having a tiny wang and in 4 months he is now about nine inches and get this, it is still getting bigger. He has been secretly taking grow pills from this site, copy and paste the address into your browser to see them. BASRIM.COM
I found out when I was at his house, three fridays ago, we were getting ready to go to the mall, so while he was in the shower, I went in his room, sneeked under his bed and found a box with pill bottles in it, there was like 9 full bottles and 4 empty ones, all ordered from BASRIM.COM I was laughing at first but then when he came in the room and caught me looking at them, he freaked out and made me sware to not ever tell anyone about them, especially girls from school or work that he has been dating for the past while, now that I think of it, he has been rather busy with all the popular girls around here, when just last year he was the shyest when it came to girls.
I just never put two and two together until he explained it all to me, I did see his prick and yes, it is huge, pronostar huge, the thickest and longest one I ever seen.
I know this sounds really shallow, but I am considering ordering 6 bottles from the website at BASRIM.COM for you know who.. he does not have a myspace account, so he is not gonna see this. They guarentee that the pills will work on any man, or they give you your money back, living proof that they do work on any guy, seeing is believing. BASRIM.COM

We're playing an acoustic show at Southampton's Platform Tavern this Tuesday.
This will be just Tim on tabla and jazzy brushed kit and Romin on guitar/samples and dumbeck.
We're playing a 40 minute set from around 9ish. It'll be different from the usual TTN stuff but the same at the same time, you know? Entrance is free and it should be pretty sweet. Be good to see you there if you can make it...
We will be playing at the Gander this Saturday night, second of a three-band bill.
Doors are at 8pm and i think the door tax is a mere £3's, so if you wanna come down it would be great to see you there.
The night is hosted by StrangeBrew, who are a bunch of DJs who specialize in alternative/rock/electro and on VINYL only (which shouldn't be somthing to shout about but in this philistinic age of DJs showing up with a laptop and iTunes, is), and they'll be spinning grooves till 1am...
Plus! it is Tim's birthday bash so come on down and let's all get monstered.
If you can make it down it would be cool to see you,
Sorry we've not been in touch for a while, we've been locked away in the studio for the past couple of months finishing our EP, hence the short break from gigging.
It's been a while coming but it's out now and available through us if you'd like a copy. There's a couple of the new tunes posted on our myspace page, have a listen if you can.
Gigs to follow soon, we'll keep you posted
much love,
