The sun descended upon a day that would live infamy. Joe and James stood upon a mountain top and overlooked the county of Orange. This night time scene was a time of frustration and a time of change. Little did they know that an astronomical event would occur that would change their lives forever. The idea and spectacle of which is known to be Main Street Lights would soon be born. As they stood there staring at the quiet city, a bolt of lightening struck young Joseph in the hand that elevated his arm to the sky. With a loud shriek he brought forth a note that pierced the ears of every living thing. There is actually a very good chance that the note was heard in other galaxies. We are not 100 percent sure but we are willing to bet a great sum of money from our wallets that it probably is true. I mean like wow! That's loud! Anyway, they set forth on a mission to create music. But not just any music. Something that would be different. Something that people could look back on in Awe.
They quickly started to write there own songs, laying everything out on the table for each other. After having what they believed to be some great ideas, they ventured forth to complete there image.
After countless months of searching, they stumbled upon Josh. Josh, had been a friend to a once ex band mate of James. It was after a couple of months of playing with Josh, that they realized he would fit the band, well that, and it was very hard to come by a drummer, so he would have to do.
Practicing as a three piece seemed to cause a lot more trouble, than good. It was quite clear that there next step was to locate another guitar player. Josh, had been in numerous different bands prior to Main Street Lights, He had a selection of friends willing to play. After some practices with some of the musicians, they discovered Mike. It was from here on out that Main Street Lights had started to form, play there own unique songs, and eventually play a show.
After a couple months, there was some disagreements between the band, and Mike, and unfortunately had to part ways. This caused a bump in the career of all band mates, so it was back to the drawing bored. It was during this down time, that the band, wrote more and more songs, and ventured forth in the studio.Having it been there first time as a band in the studio, they knew that they had to get back out there and play more shows. It was not until a year after there first show, that they made there way back on stage.
