we feel it is the phrase that best encompasses our music" says guitarist/vocalist
Jason Gutierrez. The MAINTAIN expression of "Soul Music" is more
in-tune with the organic roots of the genre which includes a broad
range of soulful, rhythmic and poetic music. The songs they have created, have
blossomed over time without any pre-conceived concepts or formulas.
This is a real band which has been together for over 6 years expressing themselves
the only way they know how: they write and play what they know and feel. The
self-produced album was recorded by Jason Gutierrez at his ENFIELD STUDIOS in
Reseda CA.
A fresh, blend of Funk, Soul, Vintage R&B & Acid Jazz,
their funky, soulful grooves combine the influences of artists such as The Isley
Brothers, Stevie Wonder, Prince and Hendrix, in an original way that takes the
music into a new era. Since 2000 this group has matured and evolved into a world class recording and touring act. Exciting
