Sea Shepherd’s mission is to end the destruction of habitat and slaughter of wildlife in the world’s oceans in order to conserve and protect ecosystems and species.

Our volunteer crews use innovative direct-action tactics to investigate, document, and take action when necessary to expose and confront illegal activities on the high seas. By safeguarding the biodiversity of our delicately-balanced ocean ecosystems, Sea Shepherd works to ensure their survival for future generations.

Neptune’s Navy, our fleet of conservation vessels, includes our flagship the R/V Farley Mowat (a 50-meter ice-strengthened conservation research vessel), the M/Y Steve Irwin, and the Sirenian (a 32-meter fast patrol vessel).

From protecting minke whales off of the coast of Norway, exposing the dolphin slaughter in Japan, defending baby seals off of the east coast of Canada, and patrolling the Galapagos Marine Reserve, our direct action and documentation has saved hundreds of thousands of lives of marine wildlife worldwide and brought unparalleled international attention to their plights.

The cost of captivity is measured in LIVES....not dollars...

Perhaps the saddest thing you will ever see....PLEASE WATCH though!!!..perhaps seeing the truth will help you decide to fight for this cause too....

How some are chosen to live and be sold to captivity shows worldwide, meanwhile the rest of their families are slaughtered viciously........

This video is from the 60's, however it is by far the most vividly gruesome depiction of the slaughter....perhaps for the fact that they didnt hide their bloodlust behind giant blue tarps back then......
