Majda Anwar is a dancer, choreographer and instructor in the Atlanta Metro Area. She currently teaches beginning to advanced classes at Georgia Tech. Majda has been belly dancing since age 5, learning the dance through her Jordanian family. At the age of 11, she decided to start formal training, and continues to study and train today. Known for her strong performances, Majda enjoys all styles of belly dance from Classical Egyptian to World Fusion Tribal. Majda is also one of the newest additions to Awalim Dance Company, Southeast's Premier Tribal Belly Dance Company. Majda is currently enrolled at Georgia Tech pursuing an undergraduate degree in Management with a minor in Middle Eastern studies and languages. She is also a member of Chi Omega Tau Sorority on campus. Aside from dance and school, Majda plays the violin and has been studying music for over 9 years. She plans to study abroad in Cairo next spring semester.
