There's something incredibly British about playing rock and roll, its a tradition hailing back to the days of Zepplin, Priest and Sabbath, The Stones, The pistols and Maiden. There's also something incredibly rock and roll about being from up north, maybe its the beer, maybe its the women, who knows? All we know is that the phrase "grim up north" still stands relevant. Following in the tradition of the greats, Make Like Madeline stand alone in today's scene of quality a-symmetrical haircuts, synchronized stage moves and unreadable logos. Its not about the image, the scene or the posturing, its simply about the riffs, lovely chunky, brutal riffs. The bands debut release "Last Night At Monogamy Heights" is a shining example of a band in their element, 3 tracks of noisy, uncompromising rock with a touch of modern technicality and just a dash of the dirty south for good measure. At a time where bands are more concerned with hair spray than song writing, Make Like Madeline are a breath of fresh and yet slightly smokey air filling both your lungs and ears with the goodness you need. ALL HAIL THE RIFF!
