MAKEN Agency was started in 2005 in Warsaw as a natural consequence of many years activities in concert organization and artists booking of its owner Miroslaw "Maken" Dzieciolowski.
Everything begun in 1988 in his hometown Zgorzelec with his full time job as a shows promoter for local council house of culture.
During circa 10 years of his work there this small Polish town became of the major centers of independent music culture and the shows attracted audience from all around the country.
Maken organized there hundreds of gigs with the highlights like Fugazi (USA), Chumbawamba (UK), Hypnotix (Czech), The Busters (Germany), key Polish indie acts like Dezerter, Kult, Izrael, Bakshish or festivals like Marleyki and Green Revolution.
Zgorzelec was one of the very first Polish places where, still during under the communist regime, you could participate in shows of the most crucial representation of foreign hardcore, punk, industrial or reggae scenes.
This experience was continued on his own later after quitting the post, extending activities to overall country and abroad.
He is responsible for bringing digital dub music to Poland with pioneer shows of Zion Train or The Rootsman.
Over the years he organized many tours and exclusive shows, turning more and more to reggae / dub / world / electronica. He collaborated in this field with British Council, French Cultural Institute and Goethe Institute.
Nowadays MAKEN Agency is a leading Polish concert agent specializing in mentioned music territories, booking major foreign reggae dub artists to the biggest Polish events like reggae festivals in Plock, Ostroda, Wroclaw or Bielawa.
The Agency organizes shows for some Polish artists abroad as well.
Furthermore, Maken is a founder, MC and selector of one of the very first Polish sound systems - JOINT VENTURE.
He works for media as well - collaborated with music magazines BRUM and PLASTIK, many radio stations.
He runs a music show "ZAPRASZAMY NA NASZ PROGRAM" on Polish National TV channel TVP KULTURA.
He also guests a weekly reggae night JAK MAKEN ZASIAL on Polish national youth radio station RADIO EURO
He writes for the main Polish reggae magazine - FREE COLOURS. He was chosen reggae person no 1 in Poland 2006 by its readers.
Maken worked as a Polish booking agent for Warsaw Village Band.
Nowadays he represents VILLAGE KOLLEKTIV, Warsaw based band mixing various world music elements with electronics.

Wszystko zaczelo sie w 1988 roku w jego rodzinnym miescie Zgorzelcu, gdzie podjal etatowa prace jako organizator koncertów w miejscowym MDK Zgorzelec.

Mozna powiedziec, ze jest odpowiedzialny za pojawienie sie w Polsce zjawiska digital dubu wraz z pionierskimi koncertami takich artystów jak Zion Train czy The Rootsman. Na przestrzeni lat zorganizowal wiele tras i pojedynczych koncertów w Polsce przerzucajac coraz bardziej obszar zainteresowan w kierunku reggae / dub / world / electronica. Maken wspólpracuje z najwiekszym branzowym pismem reggae - FREE COLOURS. Przez czytelników tego pisma w plebiscycie zostal wybrany czlowiekiem reggae w Polsce w roku 2006.
Po okresie pracy dla Kapeli Ze Wsi Warszawa, obecnie jest agentem VILLAGE KOLLEKTIV, warszawskiej grupy laczacej elementy world music z klubowa elektronika.
