In their 2009 release "Plain Scone No Coffee," Makeoutmusic has the feel of a band wanting to break away from a past checkered with roadblocks and setbacks. Powerful and emotional, the songs reek of anger, outrage, and personal struggles with change, conviction, and self-doubt. Clocking in at just over 18 minutes, the EP is a mini biography that tells a chunk of this band's life, of time spent locked in the basement all the while wanting to get out. "Plain Scone" is an all around tasty little EP, and a sure fire hit for fans of Propagandhi, Kid Dynamite, Good Riddance and Hot Water Music.

This is a loss that affects more people than you may realize,from the people who worked there to earn an honest living to the people who just went there to blow off some steam.
