The trio of Joe (rhythm guitar, back up vox), Jim (lead guitar) and Ryan (drums, back up vox) formed the band in the early stages of 2007 and have battled with many ups and downs. The long grueling search for a singer and bassist has finally come to an end. Early in the new year, Will joined the band on bass and Andrew joined the ranks with a scream that will blow your mind. The band still felt they were missing something and realized the vocals they needed to front the band were hiding behind the kit. Ryan with melodies that will leave you in awe agreed and stepped out from behind the kit to front the band along side Andrew. With the hole left behind the kit, the band contacted their good friend Simon to take over the duties. Now complete the band has started the journey and begain writing with the purpose to create hardhitting and powerfull music that will leave you with a positive note on todays society.
With an onstage performance that catches the eye and an ambition to express themselves through there music, Makeshift is ripping up the stage with a new type of metal. Playing venues such as the Rock and Roll Heavon, The Reverb, The Hardball Cafe, The Jimmy Jazz and many more. And have shared the stage with acts like Don't Mind Dying, Brother My Enemy, Visions of the Night, Sekora and many more.
The band is now working hard to record there 1st full lenght album and is looking to play shows in town near you.
