Make Your Mark in Liverpool's Interests
|
| General | Campaigns;
Girls! Make Your Mark Campaign; This campaign was aimed at encouraging women to create their own business. Fewer women start their own business than men but this is not due to a lack of skills, instead it is often due to women being more considered and cautious than men. Girls! Make your Mark aims to change attitudes to business and provides young women and girls with inspiring role models who can show them that business might be for them after all!
Enterprise Week 2007;
The fourth annual Enterprise Week took place from 12 - 18 November 2007. The week was a huge success with 5,270 events all across the UK inspiring people to turn their ideas into reality. We’re planning to make Enterprise Week 2008 even more successful!!

| | Music | How do we campaign?;
The Make Your Mark campaign has a four part strategy:
•Inspire – We want to inspire young people to turn their own ideas into reality. This includes events, activities and competitions such as Enterprise Week and the Make Your Mark Challenge.
•Inform – We want to equip people with knowledge, skills and contacts, allowing them to access sources of information and support via the campaign website.
•Connect – We want to introduce people to networks so that they can share their ideas with their peers and offer each other advice.
•Influence – We want to influence key players such as government and education bodies so that they listen up and encourage young people to be driven and achieve their dreams! Encouraging enterprise within the country benefits our economy so it’s in everybody’s best interest!
| | Heroes | The campaign has attracted a huge range of entrepreneurial role models – young people who are already making their mark and who have inspirational stories to share! As well as these people (who we like to call our ambassadors) we receive support from a broad variety of celebrities from the world of TV, music, fashion, sport and business. These include Channel 4’s June Sarpong, Beat the Boss presenter Saira Khan and the cast of Hollyoaks, musician Dizzee Rascal, actor Andrew Lincoln, and model Lily Cole.

Make Your Mark in Liverpool's Blurbs |
About me:
We are four local girls (well two of us are but we all live in Liverpool!)who dream of making a difference. Our aim is to help young people realise their dreams and turn them into reality (massive aim for only four people but we are giving it a good go!!). It doesnt matter though if you are not from Liverpool you can still get involved. We have got a head office in London and other teams in Coventry, Lowestoft, Wakefield and Tees Valley.
We want to encourage an enterprise culture amongst young people. To do this we need to give people in their teens and twenties the inspiration and opportunity to turn their ideas into reality! We're aiming to double the proportion of people aged 14-30 who aspire to start their own venture - so that 30 per cent of young people have this as a goal by the end of 2008!!!
