My name is Michael. MAK is a acronym of my initials and brings to mind the name you call a man you don't know (verses dude) and also makes one think of the makeup company, as well as the Apple computer which I use religiously every day in my work. My photography began as a career change a few years ago, after quitting work at Disney as a software developer, and returning to College for formal education in Photography. I primarily enjoy the most, shooting fashion with women since they in general are best to work with for me, and my goal being to make them look stunning.
That being said, I do shoot people in general, as well as product and architectural photography.
You do not need to be a model to get photographed!
I work with everyone.. males, females, experienced and inexperienced people of all ages.
My personal work is fine art with people I come in contact with in the Los Angeles area where I am based.
Shoot both film and digital, in 35mm, medium, and large formats. The goal is to capture and create stunning sports, dance, yoga, and other active lifestyle photographs, that present the viewer with non traditional presentation techniques. Use these techniques to create the images that attract the viewer, and sell client’s products or deliver corporate messages. Achieve this with light and shadow, shooting angle, selective focus and innovative printing methods.
Commercial clients may be graphic designers, art buyers, or photo editors working for Advertising agencies, or Magazines, located in the Los Angeles area or across the country.

For Portfolio work, seek female models, makeup and hair artists, and clothes designers to partner with to experiment with photography techniques to expand on my skills and produce work for all of our portfolios! We would shoot on location and in my studio in Valley Village.
