World Electronic Music Festival: held annually in Canada, this three-day-long outdoor event, comprising mainly of Trance, Hard Dance and Jungle (also featuring happy hardcore) has been held for the past ten years. It is also known as WEMF.
Winter Music Conference: is a weeklong electronic dance music event, held every March since the mid-1980s in South Florida. It is aimed at professionals such as artists, DJs, record label representatives (A&R), producers, promoters, radio and the media. Founded in 1985 by then DJs and Record Pool Directors Louis Possenti and Bill Kelly. The first Winter Music Conference took place at the Fort Lauderdale Marriott in February 1986 with approximately 80 dance music industry insiders in attendance. The event festivities are presented across Miami Beach, and Downtown Miami. The major event is the International Dance Music Awards. The event has major international draw, with around 38% of attendees coming from outside the United States. The conference serves as a platform for several underground and indie artists from over 70 different countrie which gather at events and panels; it is also a medium used by several entrepreneurs and consumer electronic companies to present their businessess and technological developments.
Ultra Music Festival, Miami, Florida, USA: A two day-long event with eleven stages playing various genres of electronic music with the main stage focusing on trance. Famous for their impressive lineup of the most famous and influential DJs in the world along with pyrotechnics and light/laser shows.
Monster massive: is an annual electronic music festival held the weekend of, or the weekend prior to Halloween night. The festival is Halloween themed and many of the attendees dress in costume. Monster Massive is held annually in Los Angeles, California at the Los Angeles Sports Arena. Sources say that a sold-out Monster Massive in 2008 drew well over 60,000 guests, making it one of the biggest dance festivals in North America. Los Angeles Sports Arena event held once a year around the night of Halloween. Typically an audience of 15,000+ electronica enthusiasts attend.
Trance Energy, Jaarbeurs, Utrecht: is a Dutch dance event featuring trance DJ. It is organised by ID&T and has been held from 1999 to the present day in various venues in the Netherlands twice a year. Traditionally, there was a "small" edition and a big edition each year. In 2002, the small edition failed to sell out its 20,000-person ticket capacity (only 15,000 tickets were sold) and thereafter, Trance Energy was only held once annually, at the Jaarbeurs convention center in Utrecht, Netherlands where it has since been sold out each year.
While audience in the first years was mostly Dutch, there are now many international visitors, mainly from the European Union but sometimes from other areas around the world. This is due to the festival earning worldwide fame thanks to bootlegs of DJ mixes and some official videos of former editions.

Qlimax: , Gelredome, Anthem a Hardstyle, Hard Trance event which has been gaining in popularity recently. Renowned for its impressive laser show. Organized by Q-Dance. The lineup traditionally consisted of an one opening hardtrance DJ, one jumpstyle DJ, five or more hardstyle DJ's and then finishes with one hardcore DJ. There was a departure from this type of lineup in 2008 when Q-Dance removed the jumpstyle DJ. Several notable DJ's that have been included on the lineup of Qlimax include; Alpha Twins, Bas & Ram, Charly Lownoise, Daniele Mondello, Deepack, Gary D, Marco V, DJ Neophyte, Pavo, The Prophet, Tatanka, Donkey Rollers, Technoboy, Zany, Luna, Headhunterz and Showtek.
EXIT (also known as State of EXIT) , is an annual summer music festival in the Petrovaradin Fortress of Novi Sad, Serbia. It is staged annually since 2000 and usually lasts four days (since 2003). Held in the picturesque setting of an eighteenth century fortress by the Danube, the festival quickly grew in stature and reputation. From its grass roots political beginnings, over to occasional problems with financing, and ending with wide praise it's lately receiving, EXIT tries to stick to its initial mission of providing relevant entertainment to Serbian youth while also bringing pertinent social topics to the forefront.

Zlatko Jacimovic aka Makrolon, born in Split, Croatia on August 29, 1987, is one of the most popular DJ's around the Southeastern Europe.
Trance, dance and house music are often combined into one category and are similar only in their use of experimental sounds and synthesizers along with driving and repetitive beat structures. He combine progressive trance, funky and electro styles. 10 years producing electronic music, 3 years releasing and working with world known labels. He has been involved in the electronic music scene for quite a long time. At the age of 6, he already played paino quite well and he kept taking lessons in classical and jazz ever since. In 1999, when he was only 12 years old, he started to contribute actively and played at various parties. In 2005, he set up his studio and began proffesional producing house and trance music and DJing around the world. During the summer 2006, Makrolon returned with his deep funky disco-house, which takes in elements from both funky and disco, and released 'Feels So Good'.
2009, is already set to be a very productive year with two releases scheduled for June on two of the most influential labels on the house scene. Nowadays Makrolon is quite a busy guy.

Almost Tomorrow is the third full length collaboration album from Section 27 Netlabel founders Tam Ferrans and Andrew Paterson, under their Nonima & theAudiologist guise. This time around the sound is more melodic, and has a definite feeling of a complete and more mature sound than heard on the previous LP's "Dystopian Battle Hymns" and "Ceremony After Amputation". If you are familiar with their individual projects you may even be in for a slight surprise, as the tracks are not as beat driven like before, but are more atmospheric and sound, well... "bigger". In its 75 minutes, Almost Tomorrow takes you on a trip from the digital rain-soaked cavernous scraping in "Thoughtograph", the ethereal beat jittering of "The Colour of Rain", intercepted transmissions from unknown places in "Com-Intercept", "Ganzfeld"s huge yet strangely insect-like beats until everything you knew comes crashing around you in "Almost Tomorrow". Burning pianos, glitched out soundscapes and intricately programmed beatplay, this may well be their best work to date. Consider it the soundtrack to a rainy overcast day, but with just that glimmer of sunshine peeking from the clouds. "Almost Tomorrow" wears its heart on its sleeve.
