Behind the name of Maku L is the talented Finnish DJ/producer Markus Lasanen. Maku L is no stranger to the dance music world as he has over 10 years of DJ experience in international party circles like Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Germany, Switzerland, Russia, China, Singapore, Thailand, Japan and so on. During his travels, Maku has been able to play alongside the world's best DJ's such as Paul Van Dyk, ATB, Thrillseekers, Lange, Darude, Axwell, Mauro Picotto, D-Formation,Westbam, Sven Väth, Marusha, Warp Brothers, just to name a few.
Maku L has a well known reputation for rocking parties and filling clubs to maximum capacity around the world by his ability to command the dancefloor with his great mixing skills and energy to pump up the crowd. His ability to program and mix pumping, groovy, electro house sets with breakbeat, progressive, and tech house tracks to spice things up at peak hours sets him apart from other DJ's.
From 2005 – 2007, being voted by Megamind.se as one of the TOP 10 "Most Popular Nordic DJ's". Momentum has never stopped as Maku L was the main resident DJ for Chivas as they toured throughout the main cities of Asia packing clubs. In 2007, Maku L took a break from Chivas's parties, and continues to hold a residency at one of the hottest clubs in China, Club Cinderella in Jinan, filling clubs and warming up headliners every weekend.
Since 2008, Maku L has been getting involved with producing with close friend Cid Inc under the alias "Bassaddicts". After releasing their first EP "The TimeIs Right" with great success. Their second EP "Salty / Pepper Mill" gained even more attention then the first EP as Pepper Mill was charted on Juno's week chart #5 and Salty #16. Another achievement the duo has accomplished is remixing GreenPower's "What Is Love" track, which was charted on Beatport.com. Their biggest remix from Ice Ice Baby, will be released in 2009, is already rocking parties as the track is played around the world by superstar DJ's.
