Hello Bar Owners!!! Im sure by now you know that I am Malachi. I play as a solo act, in Duo's, Trio's and in a band called Malachi & the Music. If you're looking to book a duo for patio or indoors, I play in 3 different duos. The "Brother's Colours" consists of me and Robbie Hancock. You can find his link in my friends list, as well as a link to the Brothers Colours myspace as well. I also form another duo with Jeremy Patey, aka "J- ROCK" who is my bass player in Malachi & the Music. Last but not least, my third duo is with Evan Desaulnier, my guitarist in Malachi & the Music. Evan is also in a Jazz Quartet called the "Flava Quartet." The three of us play as a trio as well when the venue calls for just that. I also play in a trio with Guitarist/Singer Dave Huber and bass player Atilla. You can find a link to Dave in My friends list as well to see where he's playing. We are all active, and experienced professional musicians. We do tons of covers by many different artists. There are just too many songs to list, plus we are always learning new ones. But below you will find a list of artists that we cover, just so you know what we can do! We love to engage the audience and do as many requests as we can. I look forward to playing in your venue, please contact me at malachigreenidge@hotmail.com or call me at 519-265-5581.

Pulling in styles and techniques from Blues, Gospel, Country, Folk, Reggae and good ole Rock 'n' Roll, Malachi quotes, "my music and songs are a personal testimony of everyday life and the joys and sorrows it brings... I write my songs as they come to me, never aiming to target a specific genre or sound." Malachi is a multi-intsrumentalist, having played and recorded with such instruments as guitar, bass, weissenborn, keyboards, jaw-harp and drums. Watching one of his live solo acts will absolutely amaze you! This self-taught virtuoso spares not a single limb in his live shows, playing a beautiful hand-made Ghanian Djembe as a kick drum and a hi-hat with his right foot and a tambourine on the other, while his hands are either thrashing away on a weissenborn lapsteel or plucking away on his Jumbo-bodied Gibson acoustic, and still all the while singing over top of that and playing harmonica! "For the longest time I simply had no one to play with, so I just started doing everything on my own... I wanted to bring something different and more appealing than just a regular solo acoustic set."
Malachi also has a band called "Malachi & the Music." We play everything from blues, jazz, rock, funk, R&B, reggae...and the list goes on! If you're looking to book either Malachi, The Brothers Colours, or Malachi & the Music, you can contact Malachi at malachigreenidge@hotmail.com. You can also call him personally at 519-265-5581
As if that isn't enough, Malachi also owns and operates "Mount Zion Studios" where the majority of his album was recorded. "Mount Zion Studios is a new venture for me. It was always bound to happen though. To get into a studio and record is really expensive. So I just started to acquire my own gear and learned to do it myself. There's no time limits that way and I can do exactly what I want to do." Malachi explains how he got into recording others. " I had a few friends who wanted to simply hear themselves on CD ask me to record them, and now Im starting to book studio time! I'm really keen on working with the artist and getting the sound and vibe that they want. But in order to do that you need to spend time. This is why I charge by song and not by the hour. That way we can spend as much time on it as the artist needs and they dont have to worry about paying more than I've already quoted them. I think it works really well this way." You can hear some of the artists Malachi has recorded at http://www.myspace.com/mountzionstudios. If you are interested in recording with Malachi, you can reach him at mountzionstudios@hotmail.com or call at the number above.
