Malcolm James is a 30 year old musician from Northern Virginia now living in Charleston, South Carolina. Growing up in the Fairfax area, Malcolm spent years playing with local bands such as Slipstream (original rock), Battlestar (funk and groove) and THATGUY (party/cover band). Teaching piano and guitar out of Music and Arts and the Virginia Institute for the Performing arts, Malcolm spent years writing songs and creating soulful melodies you can hear in his music. With influences from the Tom Petty and Counting Crows, to Jack Johnson and Coldplay, there is something for everyone to find and relate to in his music. Recently moved to Charleston, S.C., Malcolm is sure to make an impact on the music scene. Malcolm writes and plays all the music you can hear above.
