   About malcolm lindsay

Composer Malcolm Lindsay's lush score beautifully supports the action. Review in Variety Sep 2007 for feature film EXODUS.

Malcolm is a film music composer and musician based in Glasgow, Scotland, UK. He writes for TV and Feature Films and also works a song writer / arranger / producer.

His most reccent 'pop' collaboration is with the Willard Grant Conspiracy. Malcolm collaborated with Robert Fisher and co-wrote / arranged / recorded /produced their May 2008 release Pilgrim Road.

"Willard Grant Conspiracy Pilgrim Road - Sombre, imperious, awash with lush orchestration, gospel choirs, and poignant songs of yearning and redemption - Pilgrim Road sounds like a magisterial career high for Robert Fisher's ever mutating collective."
UNCUT

Recent feature film music credits include 3 award winning films; 'Blinded', '16 Years of Alcohol', and 'Young Adam'. Young Adam starred Ewan McGregor and for this movie Malcolm worked as string arranger for David Byrne. Recent TV credit include 90minute dramas for ITV, BBC and BBC Scotland, with documentaries for BBC 1, BBC 2, and Discovery. In 2007 he completed the score for EXODUS, a CH4/ArtAngel Feature film directed by Penny Woolcock and premiered at the Venice FIlm Festival.

In 2007 he produced and recorded the Doghouse Roses new record, due for release in 2008.

Malcolm's classical compositions have been performed internationally, most recently in Moscow and Mexico. His string quartet music has had airplay world wide.

His ventures into jazz have earned him recognition from Sennheiser with a UK Award.

  • co-writing/ arranging / producing new Willard Grant Conspiracy album PILGRIM ROAD. Release May 2008
  • touring with Willard Grant Conspiracy in europe MAY 08 (on piano)
  • composing the score for a 3 part drama for ITV for Autumn 2008
