    Revered by those "in the know" as the next in line to be one of the most profound producers of his generation, Maleet formerly known as "Malito" has been creating quite a buzz in the dance scene since his first release as "Kenny Dope presents the Hillsiders" in the summer of 08'. Born in 1981, Maleet was raised in three points section of Hillside NJ where the cities of Newark and Elizabeth connect. By the age of 12 Maleet was attending house parties and becoming fascinated by the art of the DJ, and by 1994, the New Jersey native got his first set of turntables and was playing records by Masters at Work, Wu tang, Cajmere, A tribe called Quest, Armand Van Helden, James Brown, and Erick Morrillo. 4 years later Maleet decided to take the next step and naturally evolved into producing Hip Hop and House music. In 1997, Maleet was introduced to DJ Kaos of Artifacts fame by a mutual friend and thus began Maleet's education into the "beat digging" culture. Throughout this growing period Maleet stayed hard at work perfecting his craft. With the formula Kool Herc, Afrika Bambataa, Pete Rock, DJ Premier, Kenny Dope, Qtip, Ali-shaheed Muhammed, and Jay Dee had followed so distinctively, Maleet followed suit. Digging through countless crates of Soul, Jazz, Rock, and Latin music Maleet found the sounds of a past sonic revolution that would aid him with the tools to invent his sound. In 2007 Maleet released a critically acclaimed Mix CD entitled "Papi Chulo Breaks Vol, 1", which was a collective of Latin music from the 60s, 70s, and early 80s. Kenny Dope (Masters at Work) received a copy via a mutual friend and decided to contact Maleet and extend a hand of friendship from a fellow record collector to another. Upon their meeting, Maleet played some of his House music tracks for Kenny's criticism. Kenny was impressed with the production and offered Maleet to become the first Producer ever signed to his new joint venture with Mark Finkelstein of Strictly Rhythm records titled "Ill Friction music". Maleet agreed and began focusing on house music as a priority. With Kenny Dope's mentoring and experience, Maleet began to fuse his hip-hop roots with his dance music roots and create a new and exciting hybrid. During this period Maleet was also recording a rap artist named Rasheed Chappell and a songstress named Mishal Moore in his pre-production studio in his apartment. Maleet then presented the work he was doing with these artists to Kenny Dope and within a few months, they were both signed to Ill Friction music as well. Today with a plethora of releases scheduled throughout the year, and upcoming worldwide djing engagements, Maleet is humbly confident you will become familiar with his name and talent.
