BIOGRAPHIE :
MALEFICENTIA a été fondé en juin 1998 par Aragoth de MAUSOLEUM qui souhaitait intégrer des synthés dans sa musique.
Il fut très vite rejoint par Molkhor de GARWALL (batterie), Camazoth (guitare), Nergal (basse) et Lolth (clavier). Puis la formation fut complétée par Balrog de GENITAL GRINDER au chant.
En octobre 1999, MALEFICENTIA entre au studio Awake et un premier album, Born of Steel and Fire, vit le jour au printemps de l’année 2000 grâce à l’association Everlasting.
Après une petite série de concerts, le groupe change de line-up en octobre 2000 avec le départ de Lolth, Camzoth, Nergal et Balrog.
En novembre 2000, Arpad intègre le groupe en tant que claviériste.
En mai 2001, Daevhorn d’AVE TENEBRAE vient remplacer Balrog au chant puis, en juin, Ashragon et Svarog de COLLAPSUS héritent respectivement des guitares et de la basse.
Avec ce nouveau line-up, MALEFICENTIA sortira son second album, Under the Banner of Suffering, chez Melancholia Records en mai 2003.
Suite au départ en avril 2004 d’Ashragon et de Svarog, Daevhorn décide d’assurer les parties de guitare.
Le groupe recrute Ayperos de SPECTRUMS OF OBLIVION comme bassiste en février 2005.
MALEFICENTIA, compose alors son troisième album, Revelation From The Ancestral Whisper affirmant plus que jamais un retour aux sources du brutal tout en gardant les nappes lyriques des précédentes réalisations.
Aujourd'hui, l'album est disponible à la vente et le groupe cherche un label ainsi que des dates de concert.

BIOGRAPHY :
MALEFICENTIA was born in June 1998 with Aragoth from MAUSOLEUM who wished to add keyboards in his music.
He was shortly joined by Molkhor from GARWALL (drums), Camazoth (Guitars), Nergal (Bass Guitar) and Lolth (Keyboard).
Finaly, Balrog from GENITAL GRINDER adds his vocals to the band.
In October 1999, MALEFICENTIA starts his first record in the Awake studio. Born of Steel and Fire, cames out in spring of the year 2000 with
the help of Everlasting Association.
Some gigs after, the band's line-up has changed in October 2000 with Lolth, Camzoth, Nergal and Balrog's leaving.
In November 2000, Arpad joined the band as keyboard player.
In May 2001, Daevhorn from AVE TENEBRAE replaces Balrog on vocals and in June, Ashragon and Svarog from COLLAPSUS took respectively guitars and bass guitars.
With this new line-up, MALEFICENTIA released his second album, Under the Banner of Suffering, produced by Melancholia Records in May 2003.
After Ashragon and Svarog's leaving, Daevhorn decided to take the guitars.
The band recruites Ayperos from SPECTRUMS OF OBLIVION as bass player in February 2005.
MALEFICENTIA, composes his third album, Revelation From The Ancestral Whisper, affirming more than ever a return to the sources of brutal music, while keeping the lyrism of the previous realisations.
Today, the album is finished and the band is looking for a label which will produce and spread his music.
