Clean Water...we protect and restore coastal water quality from the ridges, through our watersheds and out to the nearshore ocean where we surf, swim and recreate.
Beach Access...we promote the right of low-impact, free and open access to the world's waves and beaches for all people.

Surfrider Foundation's Sea to Summit Video
traces the entire hydrological cycle, illustrating the process as water filters down through watersheds into urban and agricultural areas and finally flows out to sea.
Surfrider Foundation's award winning documentary produced and directed by Michael Graber and Diana Schulz. Narrated by Gregory Harrison and pro surfer/ MTV host Peter King, this truly outstanding coastal environmental video is both entertaining and educational. Excellent for the classroom.
The Surfrider Foundation State of the Beach report is our annual update on the health of our nation's beaches. For a copy go to http://www.surfrider.org/stateofthebeach/

About me: Founded in 1984, Surfrider Foundation's most important coastal environmental work is carried out by Surfrider Foundation's 60 chapters and over 50,000 members located along the East, West, Gulf, Puerto Rican, and Hawaiian coasts and has affiliations in Australia, Japan, France, and Brazil.
The West LA / Malibu Chapter represents and protects the coastal environment from the Los Angeles and Ventura County south to the Ballona Creek, including all beach towns and cities. So if you live in the Los Angeles area then you're part of our Chapter and we hope you get involved.

Our oceans are at a tipping point. We still have time to reverse the damage, but we must make changes now. We believe that a few dedicated people can help us make this difference. We have set a goal of rallying 6,000 friends by Friday. Please help us launch our efforts, by joining our friend list. We are currently at 5,400... so not far to go! Please help with step one! Join us and together we can DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!
Thank you for being our friend! The Save the Planet Tour needs all the support it can get. It's going to take all of us to change the world. Let's make it happen together! Let us know what you think of the tour so far. We need everyone’s input to make it happen. If you want to get involved, just let us know. We’ll keep you posted on our progress in our blogs.
It's great to have you as our friends! Malibu is our hometown, but we're in Santa Barbara now, and there's lots of badgers. Best wishes from the American Badger Conservancy.
